RSPCA Appeals After Dumping Of Pony In Flintshire
The RSPCA has appealed for information after someone was found to have dumped a pony with a broken jaw in a lane in Flintshire.
The mare was found in considerable discomfort at Babell near Holywell on 17th March, with the vet confirming later that it had a fracture and an abscess.
The RSPCA is now looking after the poor creature left to fend for herself in the most abject of circumstances and in considerable discomfort, Inspector Chris Dunbar said. He would also like anyone who has any knowledge about the incident to come forward and help them.
Anyone who has any information about the incident is requested to call the RSPCA on 0300 1234999 in confidence.
As well, the RSPCA is also appealing for information on a white West Highland terrier that was dumped in the Conwy Valley, and found on 18th March on the road between Dolgarrog and Trefriw.
The terrier is a female adult in poor bodily condition and badly matted hair, with claws growing into her flesh.
RSPCA inspector Kevin Paton said the dog may have been abandoned on the afternoon of 17th March.
