Brave Katie Piper Recovering From Eye Surgery
A famous TV personality, Katie Piper, is said to be recovering from eye surgery. It has been reported that in 2008, her boyfriend with the help of a mischievous person threw acid on her face which affected her left eye severely. But with the help of medical science, the TV personality is said to be recovering quite well.
Before the eye operation, Katie experienced blurred vision. But after the operation, she is now able to identify colors and shape. It has been informed that a documentary is being prepared over the operation of Katie Piper.
Katie Piper was a budding TV presenter when the horrendous incident took place in her life. Piper informed that during the acid attack, she tried to escape the acid by turning her face away but left side of her face got severely damaged, and a large portion of acid went directly inside her left eye, which made her almost blind.
The brave, Katie has been struggling to live an independent life for the past four years and has also launched a foundation called Katie Piper Foundation which helps people to live with their scars and burn marks.
Katie is hopeful that the successful eye surgery would enable her to live an independent life. She said, “Of all my injuries, it's the damage to my left eye that has the most impact. The hardest part is not being able to see anything on one side. In crowded places it leaves me feeling scared and vulnerable”.
The brave girl is not at all disheartened with burn marks. She regards the scars as her own identity. It has been informed that a documentary title, “The Science Of Seeing Again” would be telecasted tonight. In the documentary, Katie’s eye operation would be telecasted.
