Britney's Family Excited Though Anxious About Tour
Britney Spears is scheduled to kick-off her anticipated Circus tour on Tuesday in New Orleans, surrounded by fans and supported by family.
A weekend spent with family in Kentwood, and Spears, 27, arriving in advance for her show at the New Orleans Arena, revealed her set-list, a mixture of old and new hits, which Spears, also the new face of Candie's will perform, releasing a short video preview of the concert on her Web site, with a longer version on Candie's website.
The pop star is reported to have worked hard preparing for the show that will include a three-ring circus set-up and magic tricks.
Spears's inner-circle has high expectations, even while expressing some hesitation and nervousness about her return to the stage, as her family worries that it may put too much pressure on her, whether it is too soon or too much.
That may be, but Britney's fans are excited about the show that is going to be more than light tricks and puffs of smoke, as the singer gets sawed in half and disappears into thin air.
Illusionist-comedian Ed Alonzo will be performing onstage as Britney serves as the magician's assistant, getting into boxes and into magic contraptions.
In addition, Ed says, Britney will also perform hits that helped sent her to the top of the charts, with the show featuring 'the best music of Britney that people have loved over the years and, of course, brand-new favorites from the new album'.
