Britney Spears pays millions to lawyers
Los Angeles - US singer Britney Spears, 27, paid at least 2.7 million dollars in attorney fees and costs over the past 11 months after a judge ruled she was unfit to manage her affairs, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The divorce from ex-hubby Kevin Federline and the ensuing child custody battle racked up 500,000 dollars in fees. A court case on charges of driving without a licence added another 26,000 dollars.
Seventeen lawyers and law firms have been surrounding the singer since her father Jamie Spears was put in charge of the singer's multi-million-dollar music empire in spring 2008.
Spears was hospitalized twice for psychological problems before her father was handed oversight. (dpa)
