State Agency for Tourism (SAT) has received the award for "Best Tourism promotion" at the 21 edition of KOTFA tourist exhibition in Seoul, Korea. The prize was given to the agency because of its great contributions of the agency to development of tourism industry with positive PR and marketing. This is great recognition, since the prize is awarded to one of the 2 826 exhibitors, said from the Agency.

Bulgaria participates in the exhibition for second consecutive year. This year it was visited by 89 082 visitors, 11 159 of those were representing tourism business in Korea. The interest toward our country was huge. Bulgaria was associated mainly with yogurt, roses, Sofia and football. Korean media showed big interest in our country, too.

Before the opening of the exhibition a Memorandum of Understanding between Bulgaria and Korea in tourism had been signed. During the exhibition the chairman of SAT Anelia Krushkova made a presentation of Bulgaria to Korean tour operators.
