Bulgaria was accepted as the new member of the ‘Reformers Club of the
World Bank,’ in an official ceremony, in New York, USA. The Club
inducts the countries that had made serious changes for facilitating
the business during the last years are included.
The World Bank research articulates that Bulgaria stands as the 10th
biggest reformers, particularly due the tax decreases, among almost 200
countries.
According to Bulgaria's Financial Minister Plamen Oresharski,
Bulgaria has achieved the nomination due the efforts of the three last
governments. The nomination is for entire business circles in Bulgaria.
The Minister explained, as Bulgaria ranks between the 10th most
advanced countries in 2007, now we can feel the development compared to
the ‘90s, but somehow we want to see it happening faster.
Oresharski stated that Bulgaria should keep moving to the same
directions, with accelerating the reforms regarding cleaning of
regulatory regimes, bureaucracy and better infrastructure.
