Duty-free shops closed in a month

Duty-free shops and petrol stations to be
closed within one month after the changes in the law for duty-free trade begin
to operate. This was decided yesterday by a joint meeting of the parliamentary
groups of the triple coalition.

The premises of commercial buildings will
be used by border forces, said MP from the Coalition for
Bulgaria
and member of the budget committee Petar Kanev. Amendments in the law will be
discussed tomorrow at second reading in parliament and the vote is scheduled
for Friday.

Let us recall that on May 16, Budget
Committee in the parliament decided that the commercial buildings on land
borders of Bulgaria, where have been sold until now  fuel, cigarettes and alcohol without excise
duties, customs duties and VAT will not be closed but will only lose the regime
"duty-free".

Resolving the fate of the free shops
because of criticism from the European Commission about these objects is one of
its interim reports for
Bulgaria.
