The names of four scientists awarded last year, entered the Golden Book of Bulgarian inventors, announced by the Patent Office of Bulgaria.
On the occasion of 60th anniversary of the Patent institution in the Golden Book of Bulgarian entered the awarded for 2007 inventors - st.n.s. first degree, Dr. Nikolai Asenov, prof. Slavcho Rakovski, prof. Dimitar Klisurski and Acad. Tseno Hinkovski.
They received a diploma and the honorary sign of the Patent Office, handed by its Kostadin Manev and Vice President of the European patent office - Prof. Manuel Desantes.
Dr. Nikolai Tsenov is a selectionist. Among his discoveries are 42 varieties of wheat, as he is the main author of 12 of them.
His professional interests include selection and agricultural technics of wheat, grain quality and sustainability of its diseases. He is the winner of the prize "Selectionist of 2006" of Rachinski.
The main parts of the scientific contributions of Professor Rakovski are in the field of chemistry of ozone. He is the inventor of new express methods for determining the effectiveness of stability systems. He has patents issued in European and other countries.
Professor Klisurski works in the field of inorganic chemistry. He is the inventor of a catalyst for industrial production of formaldehyde and new type of industrial reactor for conducting catalytic processes.
Acad. Hinkovski is a selectionist and creator of new breeds of animals. His scientific activities are devoted to the problems of population and private genetics and selection in different animals. He is a possessor of the Order of Stara Planina" - First degree.
Entering of names of Bulgarian inventors in the Golden Book of the Patent Office began has started in 1981. Until now there have been 17 authors of Bulgarian discoveries as well as dozens of Bulgarian inventors with the largest contribution in the history of Bulgarian technical work.
The four new names in the book were selected from a total of 16 proposals of a committee appointed by order of the President of the Patent Office.
