Increase of pensions is expected from 1
July by 10.35 %. This was accepted at the meeting of the supervisory board of
the National Social Security Institute on Wednesday. The average amount of
pension for July is expected to reach 205.50 leva.
There will be an increase in the social old-age
pension from 76.23 leva to 84.12 leva and change of the minimum amount of the
pension insurance for experience and age as of July 1, 2008 from 112.62 leva to 113.49 leva.
As a result of the increase of pensions by
10.35 %, the social old-age pension will become 84.12 leva, and the minimum
amount of personal pension insurance experience and age in art. 68, paragraph
1-3 of the Social Security Code - 113.49 leva.
A total of over 2 782.2 million BGL will be
spent for pensions for the period from July to December 2008.
The necessary funds for the increase of
pensions are expected to be borne entirely by the budget of State social
