Interview of President Parvanov provoked contradictory reactions among deputies

Today's interview of President Georgi Parvanov for Sofia daily newspaper "Trud", in which he accused the Prime Minister to have made a serious mistake appointing his advisers in boards, provoked conflicting reactions among deputies.

According to Yanaki Stoilov from BSP tension should not occur between institutions and he expects the Prime Minister and President to have common efforts on issues that are standing before the country, not only the euro problems but also the national strategy for the development of the country. What is more important according to the socialist deputy is whether Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) will be a strong team that will propose modern European policy, including social one. Stile also said that if there is such political party in Bulgaria, then he does not worry about other combinations.

SDS claimed that in the interview was announced about the appearance of a new subject in the political area of so-called experts. The "Blue" believe that by pointing out the weaknesses in the executive power the President is actually running from responsibility.

DSB also indicated that the triple coalition had gained many negatives and society gave its signs, and the President wanted to depart from the manners, which he himself created.

The leader of BND Nikolai Saviano commented that President Parvanov so much wanted Bulgaria to be Presidential Republic that sometimes forgot that Bulgaria was Parliamentary Republic. President's intervention in the types of authorities, his functions and powers were very clearly written in the Constitution, stressed Svinarov.

DPS commented that the ideas in this interview were probably much deeper than it could be understood from first reading, but it had nothing sensational. Most of the ideas were products of decisions taken in Katarino.
