Summer tourist season will be publicly opened on May 9th. During this time cultural and historical sites and monuments of Bulgaria have a lot of visitors. Are they ready, however, to welcome tourists in ahead of the start of the season?
“Some of the cultural and historical monuments of Bulgaria are not ready to welcome tourists during the summer season”,, said Anelia Krushkova, the chairman of the State Agency for Tourism.
Donka Sokolova, chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Travel Agencies, said that infrastructure needed improvement and a national advertisement should be promoted, so that cultural and historical tourism develop in Bulgaria.
