Malaysian boy accuses teacher of sexual abuse
Kuala Lumpur A nine-year old boy has lodged a report against his tuition teacher, claiming that the older man molested and performed oral sex on him for nearly a year, a news report said Saturday.
The boy, who was afraid to tell his parents of the abuse, had confided in a fellow student at the tuition centre, who then called the boy's parents.
"The classmate told my husband that our son was asked to take off his clothes by the tuition teacher," the boy's mother was quoted as saying by the Star daily.
The young boy then told his parents of the sexual abuse, and claimed his teacher had threatened to cane him if he told anybody of the incidents, the report said.
He said the abuse started in January.
Police in the southern Johor state, where alleged abuse took place, have detained the teacher for investigations.
