Over 900 thousand people in the South China suffered from typhoon Nuri
Over 900 thousand people in south China became victims of the typhoon Nuri, which overtook the region.
The largest damages were caused on Friday and Saturday in Guangdong province, Xinhua explained.
The element has destroyed thousands of buildings. Because of the heavy rains many rivers rose and floods became an additional threat to the population.
A part of the agricultural lands in the southern provinces were completely destroyed. According to local authorities' estimates the direct damages to the economy exceed 57 million dollars.
Typhoon Nuri, however, has began to lose its strength. Meteorologists already call him only tropical storm and reported that it wasshifting to the Northwest towards the autonomous region Guansi-Chzhuan where heavy rains are expected.
