United Kingdom opens its market for Bulgarian nuclear experts

Bulgarian nuclear experts will be already able to work in the UK without work permits after authorities in London included Power Engineers in the list of professions of which United Kingdom experience sharply-felt need, reported Deutsche Welle.

Higher fuel prices unexpectedly created new opportunities for employment of foreigners in the UK. Pressed by drivers' protests and by voters' concerns of the drop-down standard of living, the government in London announced that it would seek alternative sources of energy. The decision of Gordon Brown was more nuclear power plants:

"It is quite clear that we should not only replace the existing nuclear facilities in Britain. Will be more ambitious in our nuclear plans for the future", British Prime Minister announced last week in Scotland after meeting with heads of energy companies.

An important part of those plans will be given to nuclear experts from abroad. The last nuclear plant in Britain was built 14 years ago and power engineer is not among the most common profession on the Island.

This explains the changes made in the list of the rarest professions. The authorities in London updated it with 27 specialties. Most of them are in the energy sector and include positions such as nuclear physicists and engineers involved in designing of reactors. According to statements of individual representatives of the British government, it is expected to be opened about 60 thousand new jobs in this sector.
