Genius Turns Down S$1.4 Million Maths Prize
A Russian maths wizard, has solved Poincaré Conjecture, the world’s most famous and trickiest mathematics problem that is a century-old, has also turned down the US $1 million ($1.4 million) prize for solving it.
Reports say Dr. Grigory Perelman, 44, not only turned down the prize money, but he has also decided to stay back in his cockroach-infested apartment in St Petersburg, Russia.

The measure stems from concern that landline and cellular phone companies are losing revenue to foreign operators of the Web-based services.
