Workplace Anger Suppression Doubles Risk Of Heart Attack
A new study by Swedish researchers suggests, men who do not openly exhibit their anger at being unfairly treated at work, only serve to double their risk of suffering a heart attack.
The researchers examining 2,755-male employees in Stockholm, who when the study began had not experienced an heart attack, and were asked about how they coped with conflict at work, either with superiors or colleagues.
Video montage planned for ABBA touring exhibition
A Swedish film director known for his work with Madonna is to make a video montage for an upcoming touring exhibition featuring memorabilia from former Swedish pop group ABBA, organizers said Wednesday.
Jonas Akerlund who has also worked with U2, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Metallica and Roxette has won several Grammy and MTV awards.
Sweden's Volvo posts second-quarter loss on weak demand
Swedish heavy-vehicle maker Volvo on Tuesday posted a second-quarter pre-tax loss of 7,7 billion kroner (993 million dollars) due to continued weak demand in its main markets.
In the corresponding business period last year, the Volvo Group, which does not include the Ford-owned car division, posted pre-tax income of 7.4 billion kronor.
Reality TV stars reject criticism by Swedish monarch
Participants in one of Sweden's most popular reality television shows Thursday rejected King Carl XVI Gustaf's recent criticism of the genre.
The king used an interview with the Goteborgs-Posten newspaper to accuse the genre of allowing contestants to "crush the other" rather than act cooperatively.

According to a Swedish study, obese women who have bariatric surgery to lose weight, could be lowering their risk of cancer by doing so.
Many types of cancer are directly linked to obesity and a high body mass index (BMI), with 14% of cancer deaths in men and 20% in women caused by obesity. This makes obesity the second most preventable cause of cancer, next to smoking.
